June's Letter From The Editor

Roxborough State Park, Colorado

     Summer is finally here!  The kids are out of school, the swimming pools are open, and all of those great action blockbusters are coming to a theater near you.  Here in The Colorado Rockies, avid adventurers are setting out on those luscious mountain trails, kayaking down class four rapids, and scaling up steep rock faces.  This month, we will explore the roughed beauty of this land with a hike through the geologic marvel that is Roxborough State Park.  We will hobnob with the rich and famous in the mountain resort town of Aspen.  We are going to take a nice and relaxing dip in the hot springs of Glenwood, as well as take a road trip over the highest paved road in North America.  Lastly, we will continue our Great Itineraries Series with things to do during summer in the mountains of Colorado.  So from all of us at The Thrifty Adventurer, get out of town and enjoy that wonderful mountain air!
